Summary
"Ace’s gaze flicked lower, trailing appreciatively before settling back on Zoro's face. The grin that split Ace’s face was full of mischief, and for a moment Zoro could almost see Luffy in them… except they carried an intent that Luffy’s never did."
Zoro hasn't had anyone openly flirt with him in months... at least, not the way Ace does. Tempted by Ace's offer of a no-strings attached distraction, Zoro tries to shake off the ache of wanting a Captain who is too oblivious to notice.

Summary
Minutes passed in silence except for the sound of the waves and Luffy’s uneven breathing. Slowly, the tremors in his shoulders eased.
“You… do you think Ace would be proud of me?” Luffy asked, voice small.
Zoro didn’t hesitate. “I know he would.”
Luffy sniffled, pulling back just enough to look at him. “Even after Marineford… after I couldn’t save him?”

"Zoro! I need your help! Pretty please!!!"
"What is it, Luffy?" Zoro says with a yawn.
"You know what I want right, right?!" He almost jumps from anticipation as he points at his face where a little stubble is starting to appear.
Zoro watches him for a little before sighing and turning towards the ladder to the bathroom, "Well then, come on, captain."
Luffy can't help but prickle with excitement. It's already been 2 days! Now Zoro is going to help him again and Luffy is definitely not using the situation for his personal gain, definitely not.
Today is an exciting day. Because today is his usual shaving routine with Zoro.

Summary
Zoro didn’t believe in any gods, simple as that.
But then he looked up through the film of his own blood in his eyes, aching, forced on his back in the rubble of Onigashima, and he saw Luffy.
He saw him manifested as the brightest light in the sky. Brighter than the stars on a clear night. Brighter than the gleam of a sharpened blade. Brighter than the sun itself.
His Captain. His Luffy.
And for the first time in his life, Zoro struggled to explain something with anything less than an admission of the divine.

Summary
The Thousand Sunny docks at a festival island bursting with lanterns, fireworks, and sake. Luffy drags Zoro through the chaos, determined that they share in the local tradition: a vow made beneath the great lantern with cups of sake.
Zoro grumbles, mutters about sentimentality, and nearly combusts when Luffy loudly declares they’re “better than married” in front of the entire square. But as fireworks crackle above and sake burns warm between them, even Zoro can’t deny what the vow means—because running away was never in his nature.
Between teasing crewmates, loud confessions, and quiet moments back on the Sunny, Luffy and Zoro discover that sometimes even the silliest traditions can turn into promises worth keeping.
