Grace couldn’t even remember what he wanted to say. Actually, there were no words that described what he wanted. “No. No, keep going.”

Set 7 years after 13x22 “Exodus”, Canon Diverges after 13x22 “Exodus”
Dean, Sam, Jack, Castiel, Gabriel and Michael all live in the bunker.
Dean, Sam and Jack carry on the family business, while Castiel continues to help his fallen brethren adjust to their lives as humans. Gabriel helps the Winchesters when needed but mostly he is busy giving just desserts to deserving souls. Michael searches for God, stopping in when leads run dry offering his vast knowledge to the others. They had become a sort of dysfunctional, cross-species family of survivors. All was going well.
Then Lucifer returns, damaged and reserved, with haunted eyes and a child on his hip.

Summary
When Lucifer returns from Hell as a traumatized child version of his devil self, Michael is the one who volunteers to go to Hell and find out what happened, and hopefully restore his twin. In the process, Michael learns that Hell is nothing like he had ever imagined, and eventually follows a trail that allows the twins to reconcile, while unearthing secrets about Hell neither twin ever knew.
