He met Bernard Dowd for the second time when he was 19 years old. Tim has stumbled upon him at a party, the rather horrible taste of jungle juice still on his tongue.
In the dark room, the flashing colorful lights dancing around them, the sweat of the number of people surrounding him, a cup with a drink that he didn’t know the name of in his hands, Tim fell in love.

Tim stared down at his birthday cake, a small little thing that he bought on a whim from some ice cream shop.
He was officially 20 years old, and here he was in his apartment, celebrating in a cold dark kitchen all by himself.

Timothy Drake let a small smile grace his lips as he stared at the small house in front of him, hands on his hips and suitcases by his feet. A new ID in his pocket, with a different name and a slightly different face.

They locked eyes and just stared at each other for a few minutes, unblinking. The green fire crackled and moved unnaturally in the background and the screams slowly died down as the civilians cleared out.
Tim took a sip of his cooling coffee—a concoction of espresso shots that contained more caffeine than was recommended to anyone with a mortal body—and decided: he was off the clock. The rest of his family could deal with the creepy-ass floating pyromaniac plushy on their own.
“Not today, Gotham. Not today.”
And with that, he did a sharp 180 degree turn and took an alternate route back to his apartment.
Or
Danny is a pyromaniac plushy who decided Tim was their human disaster to care for from now on.
