Summary
"Spencer Reid wakes up in a hospital bed, his head pounding and his arms aching a dull pain. He has no clue how he ended up here, but he can somewhat make out Derek sitting in a chair in the corner of the room. He feels a no-longer familiar itch in the crook of his elbow, going to scratch at it leads him to discovering nothing but an IV. His eyes follow it upwards and he realizes it's administering NSAIDs into his bloodstream. All of a sudden the memories from last night come flooding back."
AKA accidental suicide attempt...because why not?

Summary
Spencer Reid is passively suicidal, but some unlikely friendships keep him going.
--
"He wasn't going to kill himself, but he does have letters written for the day he ultimately died. He had one for each member of his team that stated it wasn't their fault, one for his mother saying how grateful he was to call her his mother, and even some for the online chess forum he was a part of. It was kind of like a group chat, one with people all over the world with the same interest in chess. He’s grown quite close to those people online, some he’d even call his best friends outside of work, they make each day he doesn't get hit by a car or shot dead by an unsub bearable. "

Summary
Spencer’s glasses were slipping down his nose, but he was powerless to correct their position.
“Have you been having fun?” The vampire asked, his head tilted teasingly, a wide smile on his face. His sharp canines glistened in the light of the full moon, and Spencer swallowed harshly at the sight. “Following me all around town like a lost little puppy. Ducking behind trees. Did you think I did not notice you? That I could not have caught you sooner, had I wanted to?”
Or,
Paranormal Investigator Spencer Reid follows his dreams all the way to Chicago, where he becomes hopelessly intrigued by local vampire Derek Morgan, against all warnings and better judgment.

Summary
Being little on your own is just sad. You play alone. No one comes to get you for dinner, so you make your own meals, and eat them alone, and then you clean up the mess by yourself. You tuck yourself into bed. If you’re lucky, you might have a stuffy to kiss goodnight, but they sure as hell don’t kiss back. Emily can’t see a point without a caregiver. It doesn’t hit the same.
Which, incidentally, might be how she ended up alone and on blockers.
Thankfully, that's not the end of the story.
