Let’s say he’s not exactly the funny one right now.
Pomni’s just trying to get through each day.
Whats the chances Jax gets to say thank you?'It was strangely peaceful.
Now, Pomni wasn’t the one to get sentimental, but this was nice, being with her friends.
She had the feeling the circus was a little farther than before. While it was a horrible experience she would never forget, there was a tiny thing lifted from her chest.
It would be ok.
They could all be happy.

It’s been a few days since The Favorite Character Awards.
Pomni has been through a number of bizarre things during her time in the circus. Candy truck chases, angel head horrors, minimum wage labor, athletic events, gun-filled battle royales. But none of these come close to what she witnesses on a seemingly innocent day full of beach-filled fun: Caine attempting to take his own life.
After managing to stop him, Pomni takes it upon herself (and is borderline forced to by Bubble) to help keep Caine’s mental state intact by engaging in improvised therapy sessions with him. After all, if Caine died, what would happen to the circus? And to the humans that lived within it? This was her only concern at first. But as Caine opens up to her more through these sessions, she realizes just how much the AI is hurting and how long he has been harboring these negative emotions.
Turns out Caine needs more help than she thought.
He's just as trapped in this game as they are. And worse.

The circus had changed.
With Caine granting the cast more freedom—and revealing what their real lives held outside of the circus—life inside the Digital Circus has become strangely peaceful. But for Pomni, peace feels incomplete. Jax has been asleep for six months. Ever since their last encounter in his mindscape, he hasn’t moved, spoken, or opened his eyes. Still, Pomni refuses to give up on him, visiting him day after day despite the silence.

Summary
Everything has gone horribly for Caine and he ends up being tossed in the recycle bin to reflect on his horrific actions towards the humans he adored. Luckily, his most treasured item from the humans was deleted along with him, giving him bittersweet comfort. But as he sits and waits to be permanently deleted, he comes face to face with the sins of his past.
~OR~
Caine tortures the humans, gets sent to the recycle bin, and is faced with the wrath of Abel, the brother he consumed long ago.
