Summary
Jon truly tried, yet somehow he only remembers vague memories and shattered scenes after agreeing to Ultraman's offer just to get out of that damn volcano — becoming his protogé. Often dissociating, burn marks littered around his limbs and torso, and his spark gone after coming back to that trip with his Grandfather, Jor-El. Damian is determined to uncover what truly happened and help Jon to heal, even if he himself doesn't know how to do that yet.

Inspired by Kara's backstory in My Adventures with Superman, Jon was forced to do horrific deeds under being mind controlled by Ultraman during his entrapment in Earth 3 while Jon remained unaware of this. He managed to escape him and comes back to his own Earth, the mind control still remains in his head — just dormant with it's master being out of reach. Coming back home with vague memories, traumatized mind, and wrong body — Jon struggles to fit back in to the life he once had, good thing Damian is there for him.

something something bruce offhandedly mentions being autistic and it's like a record scratches as his kids turn to him with expressions varying from "how the fuck did i not know" to "why the fuck did you not tell me." there's the beginnings of an argument because, well, it would've made communication a lot EASIER if they knew.
Excerpt:
"They called you autistic to your- Bruce, did no one do anything??" Dick asked. He was very aware of the kind of bullying a newly-orphaned kid might receive, but it had never been anything like that."It was the 80s, they used the more outdated term. And they were right, so what was there to report?" Bruce shrugged.
