Summary
It’s been four months since Soap found out exactly how bad stims affect him. Four months since the 141 had the worst scare of their life, thanks to a miscommunication of epic proportions.
Four months, and Soap is finally, finally getting his personal space back. (Sort of. Not really. He doesn’t mind all that much.)
Four months, and Simmons is casually talking to him in the mess hall after training with the rooks, mentioning something about their old TO coming back to base, when Price, Ghost, and Gaz all freeze up.
Which is a little weird, because— well, for two reasons. One, because that’s just a weird reaction for the 141 to have in general. and two, because—
—because Soap doesn’t remember ever having this guy as his training officer.

Summary
There’s a teddy in Soap’s bed; a beaten-up, old brown bear. Well-loved, if the state of the fur is any indication. Ghost lets out a choked laugh, mostly at his own expense. He wishes he was there, suddenly, wishes he was by Johnny’s side as he walked through the doorway and realised that his childhood room was waiting for him like a time capsule. Wishes he got to see the embarrassed scrunch of his face, the way the tips of his ears would flush red.
Soap has a whole second life, outside of the SAS. He’s got a mother, and a poorly-decorated bedroom, and a bear. All Ghost has is a flat that will be the same it is today as it will be the day he dies, like he was never even here at all.

Summary
Ghost, under threat of another psychological evaluation from both his CO and therapist, has been forced to partake in a penpal programme with another soldier in order to "practise empathy" and "re-establish human connection." He hates it until he doesn't.
MacTavish willingly volunteers for the SAS's new penpal programme because what the hell, it could be fun. And when his penpal ends up being adorably emotionally constipated, well, that certainly doesn't hurt.

He wades in it now, eyes still open, fixed on the speckled ceiling, begging himself not to crave bomb blasts and artillery fire in his childhood bedroom. After a near-fatal injury, John MacTavish finds himself back in his hometown in Scotland. Fresh off an untimely discharge, he's forced to cope with disability, his dysfunctional family, and the lingering knowledge that there are some things he's just not ready to leave behind...

Summary
Eight years is a long time. It could completely change a person - and Ghost thinks that's exactly what the years since the 141's formation have done to him. He remains the best of the best, as Price demands from all of them, but the bonds he has with his team far surpass anything he expected to have after the Roba mission. He is still a soldier first and foremost, but something dangerously human lurks beneath the surface.
More than anything, a brash, bright-eyed sergeant stands at his shoulder, and Ghost doesn't know what to do with him - never has.
OR, a story of subtleties, told in the only language Ghost still knows and the only language Soap can speak: devotion.

Summary
It was one thing to know monsters existed. It was another thing entirely to grow up as part of the MacTavish clan, one of the oldest werewolf clans that existed. Being a MacTavish came with ‘capital E’ Expectations. They saw it as their duty to protect humanity from the things it couldn’t protect itself from. Things like vampires.
There was only one future for all MacTavish children - to be turned on their seventeenth birthday and join the clan in full, as werewolves themselves, to carry on that duty.
Or, there was supposed to be only one future for them. John had never been all that good at following rules, though. And while he wanted, desperately, to help people, he wanted to do it under his own power. To earn it, through more than just the happenstance of being born to a family of more-than-human creatures. So he did the only thing he could think to do.
He ran away.
-
Soap achieves the unthinkable - he gets recruited into the elite Task Force 141: a squad that had, until now, been composed of monsters only. Fate and destiny won't let go of him that easily, though. When a mission goes bad, he has to contend with everything he ran away from to protect his team.- Language:

Summary
After a mission gone wrong leaves Simon “Ghost” Riley deaf in one ear and Johnny “Soap” MacTavish with a permanent leg injury, both men are forced into early retirement. Soap uses his pension to buy a crumbling house on the edge of a quiet town, determined to make something of it, even if the place looks like it should’ve come with a tetanus shot.
Ghost shows up with a duffel bag and his usual scowl, moving into the guest room to help with renovations. Between faulty wiring, leaking pipes, and a fridge that seems to growl at two a.m., the two of them fall into a new rhythm of grocery runs, hardware store trips, and late-night fixes. The banter is sharp, the silences softer than either expected, and somewhere between the broken walls and peeling paint, they begin to rebuild more than just the house.
It’s a story about finding purpose when the battlefield is gone, about healing old wounds in the comfort of shared domestic chaos, and about realizing that sometimes “home” isn’t a place, it’s each other.

I cried so many times, and I never wanted it to end. Every. Single. Character. Mattered. Seriously. Every chapter I thought, damn, this is so good surely it can't get even better? Yet it did. I was counting down the chapters and dreading the end. Feels like I'm saying goodbye to real people as these characters' stories come to an end. A really touching and heartwarming ending. Incredible piece of writing. I'm being maybe a touch dramatic but also honest when I say I'm in a bit of awed shock(?) after reading this. Reading felt like watching a movie with unprecedented realism, care, and detail. I could go on and on and on and on.

Summary
“I can’t promise,” Ghost whispered, holding onto Soap’s face like his life depended on it, “but if we make it out, my retirement is yours.”
Soap’s smile broadened to wrinkle his eyes and push against Ghost’s palms. “Can you at least promise to try?”
“Yeah,” Ghost vowed as his fingers mapped out Soap’s eyebrows, nose, lips, unable to stop himself from darting in to kiss him. “Yeah, I can do that. Can you promise to not do anything stupid?”
“Define stupid,” Soap said with a grin. Ghost simply levelled him with a deadpan stare, which softened the grin instantly. “Alright, yeah, I promise.”A mission gone wrong, broken promises, an early retirement, and eight months of tense domesticity.
After that, Ghost didn't see or talk to Soap in seven months. When he finally caved and tries an app Laswell, Price, and Gaz have been trying to force on him, he matches with someone who breaks down his defences with ease. Ghost refuses to admit to himself that he knows who his match is.Bookmarked by GuestingNoLonger

Summary
John “Soap” MacTavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley – both star players for their respective EIHL teams – are supposed to hate each other.
On the ice, they do, colliding like war every time their teams face each other, a rivalry that has been going on for years. Off the ice, thought, they share a carefully guarded secret: a long-standing arrangement to burn off steam after every game they play against one another.
When a tabloid photo of Ghost leaving Soap’s flat exposes their secret, their agents force them into a fake relationship to control the narrative. What starts as a PR stunt quickly blurs into something far more dangerous as stolen moments, forced outings, and a long summer together turn lust into something neither of them is prepared to admit.
Caught between public rivalry and private affection, Soap and Ghost must decide whether what they’ve built off the ice is worth making real – before the season, the league, or their own fears tear them apart.

His hands curled into fists as anger surged through him. “Where’s my cat?! What the hell did you do?!”
The guy’s expression flickered between disbelief and offense before settling into something furious. He pushed himself up onto his knees, gripping the rag so tightly his knuckles turned white. “Are you serious?”
Eijiro didn’t care. He was already moving, already stepping forward, ready to grab this intruder and...
But the guy bared his teeth at him, eyes burning, “You’re like that because you think I did something to a fucking useless stray cat?!”

Bakugou wasn’t stupid. He knew what was going on with himself in regards to Kirishima. The way he always choked up when he looked at him, or the way he got extra sweaty when around him, or how he always felt like he could die right there when Kirishima touched him.. he had a stupid fucking crush. It wasn’t hard to figure out.
And now he had to go to a house on a beach with the idiot he had a shitty crush on and three other stupid idiots who probably weren’t so stupid they’d remain oblivious. It was a disaster waiting to happen, he could just feel it.
