He’s seen Ifa not even once since the Pyro Archon claimed victory against the Abyss all those weeks ago, their last conversation having transpired on the edge of a battlefield with soot on their faces and a metallic tang heavy in the air.
Ifa had been angry, then. Ororon thinks it was something he had said.
For reasons Ororon can't name, Ifa has been avoiding him since the war ended.

Summary
Ifa was always one to count all his blessings, no matter how small or trivial. He didn’t have much care for grand and pompous things as long as he had Cacucu, his little vet clinic at the entrance to the Tlalocan, and his loved ones. Every act which others deemed 'heroic' Ifa simply considered a part of his day-to-day work: he is a vet after all, his profession hinges on saving the lives of Saurians, and by a long stretch, their human companions too.
Which is why Ifa finds himself at wits end when the Wayob bestows upon him the highest form of regard there is.

All is well in the Nation of Pyro.
Especially for Ifa, the Flower-Feather Clan's favourite vet. After the war with the Abyss, his life has basically gone back to normal—taking care of injured Saurians that show up at his clinic, making sure Cacucu doesn’t overindulge in sugar, etc, etc.
Not to mention Ororon is there too. What could be better than spending quality time with his best friend?
Except the veneer of stability cracks when a chain of incidents reveals something evil lurking deep within Natlan’s shadows—now, Ifa has to step in and secure justice, before more Saurians get hurt.
Eh, I’m sure he’ll succeed. It’s not like it’s that big of a deal. How dangerous could they possibly be?
