Summary

It's hard to focus on only the bad when you know there was good that came out of it too. Siffrin realizes just what the loops brought to them and struggles to see the good in themself as they think on all the good The King brought to their life. Odile helps them process this.

He couldn’t remember what it was like to be someone’s child, or sibling or relative. He couldn’t remember what kind of love he should be giving and how he should receive it back.
Or - Five times the people around him showed them what it was like to be in a family, and the one time they eventually managed to grasp that concept.

This is fine…
Sure— the rainforest is on lockdown because of a strain of highly infectious pathogenic fungi that infects the host body’s nervous system and as a result: makes any infected a mindless zombie that runs (the worst kind). Causing the rainforest population to flee to the desert (my own personal hell)
And yeah, it turns out that the cause of this species of mushroom existing is, you guessed it, a Amurta Lab experiment gone wrong! Aaaaaaaaand guess what? The name listed as the project’s lead researcher is me!
So now I’m on the run.
I just have to escape this desert, make an antidote, and find evidence to clear my name.
Oh, and General Mahamatra Cyno’s the one hunting me.
