Summary
Ever since his return, Vicious had avoided Aegis with everything he was worth, despite Aegis’s best efforts. For reasons unknown, the criminal and monster Aegis had grown to love and grieved for had pushed him aside and treated him like a stranger without explanation; built this gaping chasm between them that Aegis had no idea how to bridge. Maybe Vicious didn’t want him to. Maybe the two years apart had stripped his novelty from Vicious’s eyes; and now all that remained was his wavering coward’s heart.
It had to have been some cosmic joke that they drew the same lot when the party split up. And it had been his misfortune that Vicious didn’t hesitate to leap into action and wrap Aegis tight in his arms when the ground beneath him cracked apart.

He certainly isn’t loved by any of his victims, and he's never found it from the hunters and Enforcers that dogged him his whole life. As far as he can remember, the word has never even been thrown his way. After all, who would be insane enough to even want to love the world’s greatest sinner?
The truth is– nobody.
