Summary
In their final year of high school, the mane six form a band in an attempt to help both Rainbow Dash and Applejack make music they can share with labels and industry artists, with Rainbow Dash as the lead singer and Applejack with backup vocals and bass. Over the course of the year, with Rainbow and AJ writing together constantly, feelings grow and so does the tension.
With Sunset Shimmer as their manager, it works. A label reaches out, they want Applejack.
The group spend the summer working their asses off to make something for this label. AJ confesses her feelings to Rainbow Dash. It’s the summer of their lives and no one else even knows it.
The label loves it. They set the date and the girls meet for the big reveal, this will change AJ’s life. They sit refreshing the website until finally, it updates.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack haven't spoken in years since Rainbow stole the opportunity of a lifetime from her. The record label that once left AJ in the dust reaches out, asking her to collaborate with one of their biggest artists. Applejack agrees, not considering who it might be.

Living in a shared dorm with the rest of the Main Six (plus Sunset Shimmer) should be enough of a distraction, between chaotic mornings, crowded bathrooms, and parties that end in missing shoes and poor decisions.
