Summary
This is a continuation of Ink Stained Hearts, but can be read on its own as well!
After a brutal encounter leaves Shadow hospitalized, he’s left without the ability to speak, or even walk, and must rely on the care of others. Namely, Sonic, who refuses to leave his side.But it won’t be easy. As tension blooms, the two will be forced to navigate what it truly means to let someone in, to share a home, and eventually… to love.
Can Shadow learn to lean on someone else, and will Sonic learn when to give him space?
Slice of life / Sickfick / Domestic with spicy elements later on.

Edit: (I LOVE this AU and love writing it, but it's difficult at my current writing level. I WILL come back to this. Right now, I just want to strengthen my world building and narration skills. )
Maria Robotnik survived the ARK disaster but at a cost: her feelings are no longer her own.
Set in 1983, this alternate universe follows Maria and Shadow, bound by a unique and unbreakable bond, they feel each other’s emotions. As Maria battles NIDS, they must navigate a world that wants them silenced, all while protecting the fragile privacy of their shared hearts.
Together, they embark on a quest to complete Gerald's research, facing enemies at every step of the way.
(The ARK disaster happened in 1976 in this AU. This makes Maria around 19.)

Summary
Sometimes, all it takes for the world to change...is a little timing. Suppose GUN found out that Gerald was jerking them around a little earlier, when Shadow wasn't as grown/developed? Suppose his escape pod was just damaged enough that GUN never found him, in all those years? What might he become, without Gerald's manipulations? What might he feel, younger and still bereaved? And what might he decide, in a little house by Never Lake, with the person who found him instead?
A look into how things might have gone for Shadow, if the worst day of his life hadn't been followed by GUN and Gerald each trying to outdo it. Rated T due to Maria's final moments, realistically described, and for references to emotional/psych abuse by Gerald to keep his medical experiment compliant.

Amy Rose contracts N.I.D.S.
Now immune compromised, the only person who can be around her without risking her life, is Shadow the Hedgehog.
As Tails searches for a cure, Shadow offers to take care of Amy in his secret cottage away from civilisation. Shadow being the perfect candidate in doing so, having taken care of Maria while she suffered from the disease.
As the two begin to get to know each other on a more personal level, feelings for one another start to bloom, causing a world of internal confusion.
Shadow, wanting to keep it professional, with Amy conflicted about her feelings for Sonic. Will the two end up confessing to one another?
