    “It’s my fuckin’ film, Peter, I’ll do what I BLOODY-WELL like,”     pronounced with the confidence of a man who hears unwritten symphonies in his head – and with the hubris of a bloke who feels his knack for catchy hooks must surely translate to feature-length motion pictures.

    Then, most unbidden, a vision of another fight; this one far calmer in nature – quietly lethal.
    “So is that how it is, then? You think you can run an entire business with just your lawyers-in-law; you think you can make and fund whole films all on your own; you think you can turn my band into your personal backing track… Christ, Macca, is there anythin’ you think you can’t do?” Light refracting off his round lenses, masking his eyes.
    Paul had no answer to that – still doesn’t.
