Now, he spent his time rescuing dragons, mapping the skies with Toothless, and parenting his kids. Yet, something was still missing.
Far away in the north, a bastard sneaked around the kitchens, stealing sweet buns for the sister he couldn't call his own in a castle that didn't want him and never would. Every winter, people died in the city under the claws of beasts the court wizard couldn't keep away, and every winter, it got worse. The king needed to do something, and perhaps the tribe of Barbarians his people had encountered by accident would help. They had dragons, and you know what they said. Dragons were magic.
