John hadn’t been particularly close with the men in his old unit, but he at least trusted them well enough; starting over from scratch with the 107th was an unappealing prospect.

He had planned to donate or sell the coffee maker, but, with no small amount of hesitation, he opened the box, skimming along the specs and instruction manual in a moment of morbid curiosity.
AU in which Eddie keeps the Hildy, and learns a few things about himself in the process that only a smart device could teach him.
