"Erwin raises his hand and reaches toward Levi’s shoulder. They don’t do that, the two of them. They don’t touch. There are lines in their relationship, the unspoken ones, that they do not cross. Erwin’s fingertips still, hovering over Levi’s shoulder, hesitating. Erwin’s face remains reserved and measured as if contemplating one of his schemes, moving a piece on a chessboard. Levi can swear that he can feel the heat of Erwin’s palm, or rather, he can feel the gap between them. The tension, the hesitation – the lack of Erwin’s fingers on his skin burns the air between them. They remain like that, suspended, painfully aware of the sharpness of the lines separating their bodies. So close, yet so distant."

Giyū blinks at Sabito slowly. He’d been expecting an answer more along the lines of “the afterlife” or “purgatory.”
“Anyway, I’m Sabito,” Sabito continues, and Giyū feels more and more lost with every word. “Although you probably know me as the Water Pillar.”

“Shut up! Shut up, I do not!” Oikawa glances frantically at the hallway to the washroom even though he can literally hear the shower running.
“I don’t think you would deny it like that if it wasn’t true,” Kenma points out helpfully. Curse the socially-anxious induced perception skills he has. Oikawa glares at him and hopes Kenma can feel the bad vibes he’s sending over.
Kuroo gasps loudly as if he just found out that his whole life is a lie. “Is that why you and dickwad broke up? Because you’re in love with Iwa—”
“In love? What the fuck is wrong with you,” Oikawa hisses. “I am not in love with Iwa-chan.” And now that he says it outloud, it feels entirely untrue. Fuck. That’s not a good sign.

A thumb reaching out to wipe a smudge of sauce from the corner of Hajime’s mouth. A wink when he'd turned around, shirtless in the locker room, to catch Hajime staring. Always followed by these maddening little giggles, like Oikawa knew what he was doing.

Oikawa sniffs haughtily into Hajime’s neck, and the tickling sensation sends goosebumps down his arms. “Lean muscle is all the rage these days,” he says.
Is it? Hajime frowns and scans Oikawa’s body. He can see why it would be popular with the public, with lithe muscles, thin but certainly not fragile. There’s definitely an appeal to long, pale necks, smooth porcelain skin straining with muscle during strenuous exercise but hiding away under normal clothes.
He decides that, for once, he agrees with the current trends. He’s not looking forward to how it’ll probably triple the attention Oikawa already gets, thus making him more insufferable, so he wisely keeps his mouth shut.
“It’s okay, though,” Oikawa coos, squeezing Hajime’s bicep with a devious grin that doesn’t quite reach his eyes, “Americans really dig the tanned, hunky sculpture look.”
Hajime’s lips twist into a wry smile. “You think I’m hunky?”

Summary
Sometimes Oikawa will inch closer, too, until he’s fully on top of Hajime, practically suffocating him under his big body and heavy limbs and Hajime feels so weighed down by sweetness that he could choke on it. Oikawa’s always restricting Hajime’s airflow in one way or another, anyway, so Hajime figures he doesn’t mind all that much when the love-love lodges itself in his throat, threatening to spill out into the open air and twinkle there like gems in the bruised night sky.
