Summary
Alastor makes his living through investments, the trade market, forging deals with powerful people and selling goods. On a warm summer's day, he stumbles on a rare mermaid who has been caught by sailors and is now waiting to be auctioned. He's gorgeous; his tail a stark, vivid red more enrapturing than a blood moon with pearly white fins adorning it from the sides like ethereal ghosts; even beaten down the fervid fire in his eyes burns into Alastor's very soul. Unable to tear his gaze away, Alastor buys him. Dealing with mermaids was a dangerous job, one Alastor was well versed in, never having had any proclivity for love or sex which is how he had earned his great success, fortune and reputation. No mermaid can tempt him to his demise with their song.
He could never have known that with this one decision his entire life would be flipped. Feelings that have always lurked beneath the surface arise as an old friend gets pulled into the scheme.

Summary
It wasn't the first time Alastor was trying to establish communication with the other side; he was a master at it by now. He had tried many times, with different sigils and rituals, but all of them had left him with empty hands. He just wanted to be able to make a deal so he could enjoy his afterlife, but instead, he ended up summoning a demon that is oddly fixated on him.
Or Alastor accidentally summons Vox for his deal, and now he has to deal with him.

Summary
Overlord Augustine is throwing a masquerade. Out of all the Vees, only Valentino is invited. To get all three of them a shot at grabbing some of the other Overlord's talent, Vox goes as Val's plus one... despite the theme of the evening being romance.
“That’s why you wanted to come with. Don’t deny it. You’re an obsessive, jealous, little bitch who—”
Vox grabbed Val’s hand. Val might have stopped speaking, but Vox could tell he was on thin ice. Still, he pressed a kiss to the back of it and looked up to Val at the same time. Val’s mouth shut.
“Tonight, baby, is about romance. Think about everything I’m going to do for you tonight and everything we’re going to milk out of Augustine. And then everything I’m going to do for you in thanks for what we get from Augustine.”
There was the slight blush on his face. Yep, Vox always had it. All he had to do was pick the right moment.
“You are a jealous, obsessive bitch.”
Vox noted the lack of little this time. “I sure am. Only for you.”
