    All the symptoms point to Hanahaki disease where unrequited love causes flowers to grow inside a person’s body, leading them to cough or vomit petals that worsen over time. In many versions, it’s “cured” either by reciprocated love or by surgical removal—with surgery often costing the patient their romantic feelings.
