Huntr/x is meant to hunt demons, to protect humanity, to do whatever they have in hand to make sure to lose as little human souls as possible.
The three hunters knew this since their trainer days when they were just teenagers.
So when the flames of chaos are so close, when the world is burning with the laugh of Gwi-ma next to their ears, Zoey just can’t listen to Mira’s yells, nor care for Rumi's tears and shining patterns.
Because Rumi's soul is worth saving, just as much as Mira’s life, that’s a mere fact.
Honestly Zoey is just doing her work. The tears on her own face are irrelevant, the fire will vanish them anyways.

Zoey decides to take Rumi’s place and sacrifice for both of her girls, even if it means to be burning in hell with the rest of the demons.

After all, the less they know the more safer Rumi is, right...?
And she is their leader, they rightfully deserve the best version she can be of herself.
Yet... a thing Rumi didn't notice in time is that once there is a hint... Rumi gets very awful at pretending otherwise.
Or Rumi tries to hide her weakness for bears, cuddly soft Teddy Bears while she does her best to be her perfect leader self that never crumbles, she fails miserably and everybody finds out, including Celine, Mira and Zoey, the whole world and well... herself.

A lonely but talented street artist who turns Zoey's and Mira's world upside down. In one short but magical meeting, this weird Rumi managed to give the two women something they didn't know how to obtain: their sweet child voice back.
After that, throughout many seasons and brief encounters, the enigmatic Rumi keeps meeting Zoey and Mira in musical situations. The three of them start to slowly build a trusting relationship which after a long time, turns into love. However, Rumi is a very troubled soul and her life has been filled with so much pain and disappointment that she cannot allow herself to simply enjoy life and discover who she really is beyond what the cruel world has made her.
This is a story of music, trust and hurt, in which everyone will discover the simple ways in which one can love a Rumi.
