Aging is something every Cookie and other pastries go through. Even immortals are affected by this. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it can be viewed as growth and change, however, many cookies nowadays view it as their value going down, as if they were a slab of meat at a market.
The Ancients of Earthbread didn't have a problem with this specific age thing, they were immortal after all, and they had plenty of things to worry about, like war. Wrinkles, grey hair, tiredness, calloused hands, dry dough- that was nothing to them.
Now it was, and it's a united issue.

Pure Vanilla, once the incorporeal Light of Truth that dwelled within the Souljam of Knowledge, wakes in the Faerie Kingdom with no memories of his past. But he is not the only one given a new chance at life.
Hundreds of mortal lifetimes cannot compare to the age of Shadow Milk's imprisonment, his body bound in chains, impaled and immobilized in agony by the searing divine fork of the Witches.
