Then again, she supposed even as she fought to swallow the lodge in her throat, this particular human shouldn’t have been able to see the faceless that she’d been consuming either.

Not for demons. We all know that.”The other boys all shifted a bit uncomfortably, but they gave small nods of agreement nonetheless.
“We don’t even have our own souls,” Abby said, eyes off to the side.
“You shouldn’t let that stop you from living a better life,” Rumi said. “You have the chance for something more, an opportunity to be better, so you should take it. Don’t let this pass you by.”
Baby scoffed again and crossed his arms. “It’ll be a waste of all our time.”
“Well, even if it is, then at least you can say that you tried."

“Yeah, but not for this,” Zoey crosses her arms. “I’m not going to drop everything and accompany you every time you leave your apartment for a snack run.”
“But we’re not going on a snack run,” Baby mimics her high voice. “We’re going all around the city.”
“Where there’s humans,” Mystery adds.
“Vulnerable, oblivious humans,” Baby goes on, sliding behind her, “with delicious souls.”
Nearly two months after the incident at Namsan Tower, Baby and Mystery force their favourite hunter to take them on a tour around the city. Somehow, it’s not as bad as it sounds.
