The plan had been foolproof: become an Animagus, spy on Potter and his little rebellion, and finally do something that might earn his father's attention.
But when the ritual goes wrong, Draco ends up trapped in the Forbidden Forest—with fangs, scales, and no way to escape.
Of course it’s Harry bloody Potter who saves him.
Fine. New plan: Act harmless, earn Potter’s trust, and fake a friendship long enough to learn something useful.
But Potter builds him a home. Wraps him in scarves. Sings to him.
And somewhere between the firelight and the way Harry looks at him—without knowing it’s him—Draco forgets the plan.

Summary
Squinting, Harry thinks it looks like a ferret, but before he can confirm anything, the creature scrambles from the table and makes a mad dash for the space under the door. A quick swish and flick lifts the thing into the air and floats it closer. Harry reaches for his glasses and the darkness around him sharpens slightly and, yes, that is definitely a ferret. Pure white with dark, beady eyes. The closer the ferret comes, the louder it squeaks and chirps in what can only be described as anger.

Draco is missing and no one seems to care. There’s also a very prissy ferret that Harry can swear he recognizes. Are these two facts connected? Of course they are.

It was then that he saw him. A growing feeling of dread tangling in his heart long before he saw the slumped figure in Hagrid’s arms. Long before everyone else recognised him. He couldn’t say what made him finally understand. He only felt the exact moment he realised.
There was no hope.

By the time Spider-Man finds him dead in a dumpster with a sack tied around his head, Wade's pretty much a feral, panicked mess, the voices loud and unceasing, his brain filled up with some Very Not Nice memories. He's any self-respecting pet owner's worst nightmare, a fugly embodiment of all things disgusting, too wild to be kept, too damaged to trust.
Peter Parker sure gives it his best try, though.
