    Summary

“How do you know about that?” Karl finally found his voice, curling his hands into fists in an attempt to stifle their trembling.

“I saw it!” Slime exclaimed, “You’re Karl from Kinoko Kingdom, Karl from the Masquerade, Karl from the Wild West, Karl from Not A Very Good Town, and Karl from The Town That Never Was!” He counted out all the different titles on his fingers as he beamed at Karl, looking rather proud of himself for recalling all that information.

Karl shook Slime off his arm, backing away from him. “No, no, no, you shouldn’t know that, how do you know that?”

    --

or, slimecicle has no filter, karl is traumatized, and everything goes to shit.

    Summary

“So.” Phil set a kettle on the stove. “Anything you’d like to say to our guest, Tommy?”
Foolish shrugged when he turned to him with clueless eyes—he was just doing his job.
“Uh… sorry? Thank you? Please?” Tommy rattled off. “I’m not really sure which one you’re looking for here, Phil.”
“I was thinking the thank you would be most appropriate.”
“Oh, he thanked me already,” Foolish assured him.
“Did he really?” Phil mused. “Well, Guardian-”
“Call me Foolish,” he said quickly. “My alias feels too formal.”
Tommy spun his mug around on the counter absently. “It’s a shit alias.”
    “Tommy!” Phil scolded.
“No, he’s right, it’s pretty shit,” Foolish laughed. “I didn’t get to choose it.”
“I could choose a better one for you,” Tommy said.
“Yeah?” he asked. “What are you gonna do, write to the hero association and formally request for me to be rebranded?”
He grinned deviously, like he had plans Foolish couldn’t imagine. “Something like that.”

Or: a superhero AU in which Foolish gets shoved into the main character spotlight by Tommy.

    Summary

“Are you here for a commission or are you here to kill me?”

Eret said the words immediately, as soon as the door was open wide enough for them and Foolish to lock eyes.

Foolish was taken aback by such an upfront greeting. He wondered if Eret had to make the distinction between commission and murder frequently. Their eyes were set on him with practiced annoyance, like Foolish was just the next in a long line of gods that Eret had to shoo away like an old woman shooing rabbits from her garden.

“Assuming you’re Eret Alastair,” Foolish admitted, “then I’m here to kill you.”

Or: The many centuries of the lives Eret and Foolish led, long before they came to the SMP. My speculation for a pre-canon Eternal Duo backstory.

    Summary

It’s over remarkably quickly. The winning Batman leaves the losing Batman on the floor, still and broken, and Superman moves quickly to tie that one up as Winning Batman turns away. Turns toward Damian.

His shoulders slump, and Damian feels numb. This is not his Batman.

    Summary

Melli fidgets, fine features highlighted by the orange lamplight below. "Well? Don't you consider it a privilege to sleep in my presence?"

Ingo treats the question as rhetorical (as he often does to maintain his patience around this particular person) and does not bother answering. He only stands aside and holds the flap open for the man to duck inside.

He supposes he should feel lucky. All he feels is tired.

    - - -

Ingo and Melli share a tent for the night.
