His only lasting relationships were the ones simmering with unfiltered contempt from his family, those who survived, really, and his complicated, twisted, rotting bond with Mori Ougai. Meeting the closest thing to a father figure at the ripe and vulnerable age of fourteen, living with him for the next four years, and struggling to cope without him for the following four, did things to someone’s binary definition of relationships, paternal ones at the very least.'

What if Chit Sang knew what Zuko did, knew what the Prince had stood up for, and thanked him? And what if that lead to more secrets coming to light, unable to stay covered when the sun choose to shine down upon it?
Aka, my take on how the Chit Sang would reveal what Zuko stood for to the Gaang + Hakoda, and how it would be seen. I did this all while listening to "Things We Lost In The Fire" by Bastille on repeat. (I had to, at some point, make an obligatory Gaang finds out about the scar with added spice!)

Summary
Something's been bothering Zuko all day, and nobody knew what to do to get him to open up to them about it. Taking a page from the Water Tribe's traditions, the Gaang decides to share stories around a campfire to get him to open up.
In retrospect, they probably should've thought a bit more about what they were getting themselves into.

The ice has been Sokka's life for as long as he can remember. Learning to skate at his family's rink preceded learning to walk. The rink has been his safe place through everything; an ADHD diagnoses, an injury in his favorite sport, the death of his mom and his first girlfriend, and a myriad of mental health issues stemming from all of those things. If only he didn't have to share it with the stuck up rich kid that just moved into town. The rink needs the money Zuko's family brings in from renting it four days out of the week, but Sokka's not sure he can last dealing with the high demands of a professional figure skater.(Or: Zuko is a professional figure skater with expectations he can never live up to and Sokka is a college hockey player who really wishes the guy constantly getting on his nerves wasn't so gorgeous.)
