"Dearly beloved-," John starts off, after clearing his throat and even adjusting an imaginary bowtie. Imaginary because he'd refused to dress up for what he called a 'complete sham, Dirk, but you know what, I'm going to go along with this only because it'll be funny', which to Dirk seemed like it missed the entire point. If you're going to go along with something like this, you have to go all the way.
Or, Dirk decides to throw a funeral for an anime streaming website. John goes along with it because he loves him- and he really has to, to deal with this bullshit. Is it too late to get new friends?

Character A does something stupid
Character B is affected by this stupidity and wants revenge
Characters A and B face each other and magically fall in love
One of the best types of clichés, if you ask me.
