Summary
“I ain’t chasing after you again!” Daryl called from the porch, barely visible now in the fading light.
“Almost doesn’t seem worth it then,” Jesus called back, cheerfully, and performed a little twirl in the mud.
“You catch cold and you can get yourself back to Hilltop!” Daryl yelled after him, and Jesus responded by raising his middle finger in the air, illuminated with the beam of his flashlight, not bothering to slow down or look back.

Sososo cutee. And oddly might’ve just helped me confirm something about myself I’ve been struggling to accept for awhile. Even if this is a fic, it’s a very well written one.

Summary
“Would’ve been better off on my own!” Daryl called out, swinging his crossbow around to drive the butt of it firmly into a walker’s skull. The walker fell to the ground but Daryl didn’t have time to revel in the small victory, swinging the crossbow around again to slam it into the side of another walker’s head.
“You’d have been eaten alive ten minutes ago if you were on your own,” Paul called back.
Daryl could barely see the other man except in flashes of shadow, spinning through the greyed-out world around them. He could hear him, though, if only in the squelching sounds of his knives being pried from rotted skulls. Daryl reared back and landed a kick to an approaching walker’s chest. It fell backwards, one leg twisting so hard that it was accompanied by the loud, sickening crack of bone breaking. Slamming his crossbow sideways took out the next walker.
“Least the company’d be better."
“You know,” Paul called back, his tone jovial between the small grunts of exertion, “it’s nice that even the bad weather and the even worse circumstances don’t dampen that sunny disposition of yours.”

Summary
Vi slumped onto the opposite end of the sofa, letting her head fall back against the cushion. "I don't get it, Cait. She was nice. Real pretty, too. But halfway through the appetizers, she just... shut down. By the time the main course arrived, she asked for the check and told me I should probably just go home to my wife."
Caitlyn froze, her wine glass halfway to her lips. "Your... wife?"
"Yeah! I told her I wasn't married, obviously," Vi said, throwing her hands up in frustration. "And then she got all weird and said, 'If you aren't married to her, then you're obsessed with her, because you haven't stopped talking about a woman named Caitlyn for forty minutes straight'."
Caitlyn felt the blood rush to her face. She carefully set her glass on the coffee table so Vi wouldn't see her hands shaking. "You talked about me? For forty minutes?!"
or
Caitlyn has been in love with her best friend for 10 years. The best friend in question is just stupidly dense... not until someone decides to sweep Caitlyn off her feet.

Summary
“This happens every month, Violet,” Caitlyn murmured with a vague flick of her wrist. “I mean, mine isn’t always the most punctual either, but surely you must have been well aware of—”
Vi simply squinted. “Every month?” She said, then scoffed. “Cait, I haven't had one in years.”
Caitlyn’s head snapped up and her singular eye stared at her so intently that Vi supposed she might have sprouted a pair of horns.
OR, vi gets her period for the first time since stillwater.
