Summary
No one had been watching Miles when he was four years old. As a result, he had gotten lost and trafficked from California all the way to New York. It was Detective Jefferson Morales who had found him after he escaped from his captors. Jefferson broke up the trafficking ring and since no one could find his family, Jefferson and Rio adopted him and gave him the last name Morales.
Miles spent years wondering where his biological family was and if they were looking for him. After a Radioactive Spider bit him when he was fourteen, he became Spider-Man. A year after the bite, he had a fight with a villain not of his world. The fight drew out new abilities. Ones that felt raw and wildly unbound from the laws of nature.
Miles became something else, someone else…
Now Miles was eighteen and he was looking for his biological family with the help of his mystic arts teacher, Stephen Strange. -

Summary
After protecting his brother Milo during a house fire when they were younger, Miles is left with burns covering the majority of his body and his voice is left sounding like he smokes ten packs of cigarettes every day after the smoke from the fire damages his vocal cords.
Milo adores his older twin and gets very protective over him after the accident.
Years later both boys are eighteen and Milo has become a tattoo artist. After a few months of Milo working at the studio, he forgets his phone at their shared apartment. Miles discovers the forgotten phone and goes to the studio to drop off the phone and runs into Milo's co-workers.
Long story short, Hobie nearly trips, Gwen spits out her drink, and Pav is just a ray of sunshine.

Summary
Miles Morales wasn't a normal child by any means at birth. It seemed like he was on the surface. But he had an amazing ability. One that some may find familiar. His parents never paid too close attention when he got hurt. They barely knew when he was.
After all, how would they when he healed too fast for them to realize when he was?
Only his uncle knew about his ability.
But when Miles is bitten by the spider, his ability mutates. Now, he's armed with the abilities of a spider and the abilities of everyone's favorite merc with a mouth. (Just without the scars.)

Miles has secrets. One of them is that he's Spider-Man. He's hidden that secret from his family since he was fourteen. His other secrets though? That's where it gets interesting.
His father's the Chief of Police, and despite that, Miles is an anarchist.
He sees what people like him go through with the police when his father isn't looking. He sees the racist officers turn off their body cams and do what they want when his father isn't there to punish them.
He sees the corrupt politicians making things worse rather than using their power to help the community. He sees people become stricken with poverty and removed from their homes when they can't make rent because taxes have gone up. He sees people in his neighborhood that are forced to choose between getting food or paying for their prescription medications.
He sees all of it and it makes him angry with the government.
So, what is Miles to do when the government is corrupt, and everything becomes worse and worse?
He dons the mask and begins to fight for everyone.

"Ah — um… sorry, but can I uh, help you?" he asked, feeling extremely insecure with the way she gazed at him.
Danger sense never activated, and it still remained… dormant, which kind of concerned him. He had no idea she was even there, but he was pretty lost in his thoughts, so at the same time, he screwed up yet again by getting himself distracted and not being aware. He really needed to stop doing that because one day, it was going to come back and bite him in the ass — hard.
