Zixuan would like to be closer with his half-brother. He would like to skip all the awkward fumbly beginning bit where they don't know each other and just magically arrive at fraternal harmony, where they can joke around like the Jiangs and look out for each other like the Nies and have that spooky synchronicity like the Lans, but the truth is that he's never had a sibling, and he has no script or example for what you're meant to do when you discover one as an adult. They don't have years of in-jokes and growing pains to fall back on, they're basically just strangers who happen to share a parent.

Jiang Yanli has a hand on Jiang Wanyin's arm now, shaking her head and asking quiet questions that Huaisang can only partly make out. Other disciples are responding, and it must have got out that he wasn’t at practice because Meng Yao is making That Face - a reserved Oh Dear Young Master, This Humble One Is Disappointed Once Again that is covering for a You Little Shit that is only seen behind closed doors - so Huaisang knows he’s going to be in trouble later. The branches aren’t as comfortable as they were a second ago, so he might just slide down and head straight to the lunch hall, where the Lan rules will stall any yelling right up until the point where someone tells Lan Qiren. All bets are off then.
Jiang Wanyin might just beat Lan Qiren to it, even if he doesn’t know Huaisang is around to hear him. He looks livid. Huaisang is just getting his hands and feet moving to begin his descent when Jiang Wanyin’s molton gaze sweeps the diplomacy students, razes the pavilions, and then locks on to Huaisang and begins to burn through his skull.

Summary
"Steel Meridian" is a perfectly adequate HoloNet drama. It has decent action sequences, a charming lead, and a Jedi character who bears absolutely no resemblance to anyone serving with the 212th Attack Battalion.
Nobody believes that last part.
The important thing is that for the first time, there's a show that treats clones as people worth caring about — and a fandom discovers what fiction can do for those who were never given language for the things they feel.
Also, someone is writing the most emotionally devastating fanfic in the Grand Army of the Republic. And two officers are doing an absolutely terrible job of watching a love story about themselves.

She finally reveals her enchanted stones on Mygeeto and watches hardened clone troopers react like she just handed them portable sunlight.
And then chaos ensues. The 501st is definitely not jealous, Wolffe would rather die than ask, Ahsoka has no pride and simply requests one, and Anakin immediately invents a glowing variant everyone begs him not to.
Comfort, chaos, and an accidental tradition—powered by rocks.
