After the death of his twin brother, all Chauncy wants is vengeance. Except that looking at Stede he doesn’t see a renegade or a mad pirate- he sees a hostage. Stede is still-as he was when they were young - the victim of his circumstances. As a member of society it falls to him to serve as rescuer. (slight non-con, pining and harassment.)

"Shit," Maverick curses, righting them with no small amount of struggle, fighting the failing jet. "Rooster, listen to me. We're going to land," he says, turning sharply back toward the shore. He scans the landscape outside of the cockpit, looking for somewhere, anywhere, clear enough for them to set down.
"What?!" Rooster shouts.
"No other choice," Maverick says, spotting a clearing in the trees. It's not ideal, but it'll have to do. He's getting more and more warning lights flashing at him, and they're running on borrowed time. "It's going to be rough," he warns. Even if they had a runway that was paved and not snow-covered dirt, they're missing a landing gear.
This is going to hurt.

Or, Maverick and Rooster don't make it back to the carrier in that F-14. Cue a Goofy Movie-esque road trip, only the estranged father-son pair have to figure out how to make it home from enemy soil without aid, backup, or documentation.
Oh, and everyone back home thinks they're dead.

Summary
Following rumors of Albert Wesker's research falling into unknown hands, a BSAA team, led by Captain Chris Redfield, is drawn to the Bolivian town of San Jumayo to ensure the mad scientist's plans died with him. Meanwhile, tipped off by a reliable contact within the US government, Wesker's son, Jake Muller, arrives in San Jumayo a few days earlier than the BSAA's agents to learn more about his father and his unsavory birthright.
[A story I've concocted to mesh Res E 6 and Res E 7, because they sometimes feel like they exist in separate universes. This is also my first try at horror. If you could give me feedback on how better to write scary sequences, I'd be delighted.
I'm also playing a bit with the difference between visual and written media, and I love how vague RE gets with things because it's a video game. Also, playing with Resident Evil's quips and intentional melodramatic silliness. Hope you like it.]
