“You do not raise your voice at me,” Madam Yu’s lips were tighter than Wei Wuxian had ever seen them, her eyes venomous. “If he can’t keep out of the family business, than he can go be someone else’s problem.” She spat back, as though he was not on the room.
“Family business? He is family!” Jiang Cheng’s normally explosive attitude had never been directed to Madam Yu, only silenced when she gave him an icy glare. It was almost touching if not for the fact Wei Wuxian’s head was spinning and his mouth was completely dry.
Engaged? To the Lan Sect? But – Lan Xichen was kind but not who he wanted; and the odds of him being engaged off to the eldest of the Lan siblings was more likely then him getting engaged to –

On their wedding night, Wei Ying kissed and held him until he was sure all his bones had melted and pleasantly oozed out of his body. It was glorious, it was perfect. And somehow, sex was never brought up that night, Lan Wangji himself hadn’t planned to bring it up at all until a few days ago when he found his hidden…educational…scrolls and books he had collected that was gathering dust under his floorboard.
Looking it over…Lan Wangji’s interest and vigor was piqued. He wished he had brought it up eariler but that proved a bit difficult. The planning and wedding all happened so fast, he hadn’t had a chance to ask how Wei Ying felt about the subject. But he knew, if Wei Ying said no, Lan Wangji would accept it; he was happy enough holding and kissing his husband from sun down until sun up. Though, if Wei Ying was not against the idea, Lan Wangji would have a delightful time finding out what made Wei Ying scream out until he could only say Lan Wangji’s name.

Summary
As it was decided, Wei Wuxian laid his head on his enfolded arms and closed his eyes at that instance, ever the man of following the rule of better forgiveness than permission. He knew Lan Wangji would say no if he asked, and he was almost certain that Lan Wangji would not allow him to do as he pleased.
Still, he was going to take his chance.
(Or, Wei Wuxian decides to pretend to nap and suffers the consequences, aka Lan Wangji’s lack of restraint when it comes to Wei Wuxian’s oblivious and defenseless face in a canon typical fashion)

“Wei Ying, please,” he pleaded, desperation making his hand hover around Wei Wuxian’s shoulder for a second time.
The image of Wei Wuxian, breathing hard and uneven, his face drawn and his body taut with constant shivers, was a sharp contrast to his typically radiant and carefree appearance. Lan Wangji was struck by the sight, frozen in place, his heart thumping rapidly in his chest. He didn’t know what to do, how to help him.
(Or, Wei Wuxian is afraid of thunderstorms and Lan Wangji wants to help, but don’t know how.)
