Soooooo good the only Attic wife Voxal fic I’ve seen that’s left me satisfiedddd - good characterization of vox and Alastor’s friendship and I love how this precedes the Night They fell out with vox deciding to go a whoooole other direction. Alastor wants to end the friendship so vox goes fuck it everything is ruined anyway so I’ve got nothing left to hold back…
Takes him to his own home and eventually controls his mind to accept hom and his advancesThe smut is soooooooo good ughhh also Vincent is WRONGLY angry that alastor never revealed he was trans, as if he owed him or something. The only thing Alastor can remember through his mind control is Vox’s anger when he saw his trans scars, which is so important for the conclusion.
Alastor eventually gets his revenge and it’s not treated as a simple quick death that just ends the story, it’s meaningful and vox REPENTS yet isnt sorry, while Alastor is merciless but still second guesses his own feelings it’s SO good 😋 🤤 😋 Alastor even let’s it slip that there was the tiniest, smallest possibility that something could have materialised of je only waited, but vox just goes nuts saying it’s been 70 years lmaooo no one made I wait lil boi

Alastor doesn’t pull his hand away, in spite of how he’d very much like to.
Typically—this is a game reserved for a disgusting pig of a white man that he’s been stalking for a few weeks now, at the bare minimum. Perhaps a few months, even. He’s not certain this one qualifies yet to be on the main list, but he does tick all of the preliminary boxes. He’d make for terrible prey, though, Alastor sadly notes. A high profile white man from New York that has come down to specifically chase after him? No, no, that won’t do. He can’t kill this man. It would fall back onto him immediately.
Buuuut, he is still having a bit of fun, laying out a few honey traps here and there, for whatever reason. Just in case.

“Why aren’t you sitting in the back of the bus?” Vox asked, his voice low but edged with a hint of intrigue, maybe even irritation.
The man raised an eyebrow, his tone calm as he responded, “The seats are open, aren’t they? Normally, nobody’s on this bus at this hour, so nobody minds. I’d hoped you wouldn’t either.”
Vox let out a weary sigh, rubbing the bridge of his nose. “I’m too tired to give a damn.”
The man tilted his head slightly, an amused but almost wary glint in his eye. “You’re saying that, but you still brought it up. Seems like it was enough of a… bother for you to mention.” He shifted, starting to rise, his movements measured and quiet, as though he were used to slipping out of places.
Without thinking, Vox’s hand lifted in a brief motion to stop him. “Look, you don’t have to move. I don’t— I don’t care.” He heard the words fall out of his mouth, an unfamiliar softness slipping into his tone.
The man paused, the faintest crease appearing on his brow before he settled back down. His shoulders relaxed, and he gave Vox a nod, his expression neutral but with a flicker of acknowledgment in his gaze. “Well, then. Thank you… for tolerating me.”
