There was an underlying clause in his tone. I could almost feel it more than I heard it as I stared at him. He hardly blinked, stare unwavering from mine as the cogs in my head turned to figure him out.
“When you say ‘help’, you don’t mean strictly in the sense of the ritual, do you?”
His smile widened, quiet steps tapping against the hardwood under his feet as he came nose to nose with me. His hand came up, fingers curling delicately under the shape of my jaw to my chin, fingertips tilting my face up as he took another step forward, invading my space.
“I imagine things haven’t been working in your favor since you’ve come to me little witch. Perhaps you simply need a little more spiritual and… physical assistance. I promise you’ll find our services satisfactory in more ways than one.” He purred, chocolate irises boring into me. “You won’t come across another coven as generous as mine I can assure you.”

San and Wooyoung have been friends for over 10 years, during which San had witnessed Wooyoung getting his life turned upside-down when he became a single parent over one night stand that led to his daughter being born.
For San, Wooyoung always was his everything and his only happy ending, so he didn't think twice before committing to help Wooyoung raise his daughter, as a best friend, shutting down his feelings because he thought that Wooyoung would never reciprocate his non platonic love. Wooyoung on the other hand though San wasn't interested in a serious relationship, why otherwise this perfect husband material would still be single? So he made himself believe that he is content with how things are for now, with San being by his side just as a friend.
