"I know," Castiel murmurs, still just smiling a little, not looking heartbroken at all. "Don't worry about it, Dean, that's all I ask."
"So we're—" Dean risks a glance up, swallowing thickly. "We're good?"

“Please don’t be mad at me,” he whispers, then licks again.

“Oh, wow, yeah, see, this is way better,” Wei Wuxian says. “Jiang Cheng, here, c’mon—”
Jiang Cheng makes a confused noise, then squawks and drops his weight unhelpfully as Wei Wuxian tries to haul him forward by his grasp on Jiang Cheng’s bloodstained belt. “What? No! Are you crazy? I’m not sleeping with Lan Wangji!”
Lan Zhan, who had been striding across the clearing toward them, robes a-swirl, pulls up abruptly like he’s run into an invisible wall.

It’s Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji, rather than Jin Zixuan, who arrive at Qiongqi Pass as Jin Zixun is attacking Wei Wuxian. This turns out significantly better than it does in canon!
Unfortunately, during the attack, Jiang Cheng is hit with a curse that can only be healed with magic qi-transferring sex. And since Wei Wuxian, secretly coreless, can’t do it, he’ll just have to persuade Lan Wangji to step up instead.

Summary
In a world where an omega's pheromones makes it almost impossible for an alpha to harm them, especially when they're in heat, and an omega is more likely to bite chunks out of an alpha they see as inadequate than submit to them, Jiang Cheng (omega, in heat) still gets captured by the Wens while trying to lead them away from Wei Wuxian after the fall of Lotus Pier.
The question is this: Is there an alpha alive as inadequate as Wen Chao?

Lan Wangji nods slowly. He is silent for a long while and Jiang Cheng gets the sense he is contemplating something.
“Jiang Wanyin,” Lan Wangji speaks finally, with deep gravity, “Will you marry me?”
(The first time Jiang Cheng lets Wei Ying knot him, they are still bloody from killing Wens.)
