Cam impatiently launched out of his seat, shaking the sofa beneath the rest of them. "It simply won't do for Scott to be upset" he announced, hands on his hips. He grinned suddenly.
"Perhaps you need a lovely little kiss on the nose!" he declared, that was all the warning Scott got before a soft pair of lips were pressed to his face.

Summary
Oakhurst was by no means a typical village.
Most obvious were the beacons, imbued with holy light, though the environment seemed to naturally leech that away. Less so were the tombs and their odd books that either simply would not open or would flood a person with inexplicable abilities.
And then there were the vampires. Or so Avid thought, but how could he not? The monster hunter could swear he’d be chased by them in the woods, could swear they were picking off livestock.
The problem was that he just couldn’t prove it.In which Avid tries to prove himself and has several changes of heart, and maybe vampires do exist- but maybe they don’t. Or maybe they simply don’t inhabit Oakhurst’s woods.

Scott had stopped midway in his steps before he even heard the prince's voice booming throughout the hallways, still haulling a million decorations in his hands.
"It's..." Scott paused, clicking his tongue. "It's dye!' The frost mage smiling before he could cringe. "Yeah." Scott was lying again about his blue roots, to which he kept reasoning that it was for the best.
The prince's expression suddenly lightened up. "Aha!"
"Well, not to distaste your amazing skills, Scott, but i do have to say that is very…" Cam hesitated, before slowly cringing. "I'm sorry, but, that is the most hideous dye job i've ever seen in my life!"

Tf!Cam dyes Tf!Scott's hair after Scott lies to him saying the blue part of his hair was 'dye' because Cam thought 'the dye job' Scott did on his hair was a monstrosity and hate crime to fashion. also they're having a sleepover

Avid’s heart gave the illusion of beating, Apo and Cleo scowled at them. He… He didn’t want people to know. The entire point was so people didn’t know! There was a line down the center of town, Avid’s shaking hand went to the bandages gripping tightly around his throat as if they were being choked out.
Avid stepped over the line and joined the side where Drift, Cleo, and Apo stood.

[Humans were always lesser than vampires, Avid knew that. As someone who had lived around vampires his whole life and been refused a turning time and time again he knew his place. He was the loud, annoying, easily disposable feature of every vampire household and it was a miracle he was still alive, each new manor he ended up in said so.]
