    So when Frodo returned from Mordor a shadow of himself and they were both offered a place on one of the Elven ships departing from the Grey Havens, Bilbo declared that he couldn't wait for his next adventure and went along. Maybe some part of him was hoping that the Undying Lands would be able to heal his broken heart along with Frodo's. Maybe the Valar would take pity on him, too.
    When he next wakes to find himself back to the day Gandalf invited him on an adventure, he clings to the chance with both hands. No matter what he must sacrifice, he will make sure each and every one of his Dwarves makes it through this journey whole and hale.
