Waving his paw around nonchalantly, he flicked away the rest of whatever that sentence would’ve been, reaching for his backpack and shuffling through it. “Whatever, it doesn't matter.” It probably did. Just not now. He pulled out the hairbrush he brought, holding it up for Ollie to look at like a confused dog. “Have you ever seen one of these?”
Bully thinks that Poor Kid's fur looks matted. Like, downright horrendous and slightly concerning to look at. So he does what he loathes the most, and helps.

“God no!” Both Jimmy and Hope groaned, the younger in relative more panic than the latter. Max laughed.
Max loves his siblings very much, whether or not the romance drama is included! He's also an asshole, though. A teasing asshole.

That was the point of pet names, right? To call your partner something sweet that no one else can? Max had been calling Nugget ‘Nugget’ throughout his whole life, even now as they were dating. Did that have to.. change?
But what if it sounded.. weird coming out of his mouth? Was there something in hidden social standards that said he couldn’t call his boyfriend the same pet name back? It would probably be best to not risk offending his Nugget like that, even if at best the idea of that sounds honestly ridiculous. And it had to be.
Right?5 times Nugget calls Max by a pet name and one time Max finds one for Nugget.

ive not even finished yet (about midway through!) but this fic is just hitting ALL the right buttons its insane. super smash bros, sea of thieves, hades, and so many more references in a SINGLE STORY??? i started howling. jumping. broke 17 disks of my spine. Theres also culinary talk which almost made me miss my drawing exam because i locked in so hard i nearly housed this entire fanfiction in a single night. Thank you Author this one is going in the Rereads
