Summary
The Silmarillion, as told by Caranthir's wife in her memoirs.
Needless to say, she is extremely biased. On the other hand, so is Pengolodh - just in the other direction...

Why I Love Telerin Celeborn by Double_sharp

Summary
The title. But I can't resist tangents, so everyone in the tags is also discussed to explain why I like it that way. Considering the excursus on Finrod and Galadriel's actions in the First Age, perhaps this is the spiritual successor to my essay on Angrod and Aegnor.
Also treated is Celebrimbor, because one of his origin stories relates to the matter of Telerin Celeborn. Thus I also ended up writing an excursus on Curufin.
Also including an appendix (chapter 2) on a bit of fridge horror regarding the Ban on Galadriel.

Summary
How the younger sons of Finarfin entered the mythology as Fëanorians, and that alignment (distinguishing them from Finrod) seemed a bit hard to shake off.
Including a brief tangent on why I am attracted to the headcanon of Gil-galad as son of Finrod Felagund. :)
(Now also updated with a second chapter, pointing to some potential evidence from the Athrabeth, as well as regarding Angrod's granddaughter Finduilas. And yet a third chapter about the Bëorians.)

Gildor, Voronwë, and My Lalwen Headcanon by Double_sharp

Summary
I somehow felt the need to try to make Voronwë literally "of the House of Fingolfin" when I don't feel the same urge for Gildor Inglorion. In other words - attempting to make Aranwë be Argon. (He still dies! But that doesn't mean he can't meet a daughter of Círdan in the Lammoth beforehand!)
I no longer believe it's necessary (because it seems likely that at the time Voronwë "of the House of Fingolfin" was written, JRRT probably no longer thought such statements had to be literal), but I still think it was an interesting exercise to try.
Also including my Lalwen headcanon. Also countercanonical, but I find it fun.
