[Re-write and expansion of my other fic “If I’m Being Honest”]
The war is over. Voldemort is dead. Hogwarts is rebuilding. The future stretches out before Harry Potter exactly as everyone always assumed it would.
Auror. Hero. Boyfriend / Future Husband.
A life already planned before he's had the chance to decide if he wants it.
As Harry struggles to adjust to a world no longer defined by survival, he finds himself changing in ways even he doesn't fully understand. New interests. New ambitions. New dreams that have nothing to do with defeating Dark Lords.
And while Ginny Weasley loves him fiercely, Harry begins to realize that love alone cannot bridge the growing distance between who he was and who he is becoming.
A story about healing, grief, growing apart, and discovering that sometimes the bravest thing a person can do is choose their own future.
