Summary
What if Morgana's prophetic dreams had been much more useful, particularly early on? If she'd gotten enough spoilers (say, by viewing Seasons 2-5 in her dreams), could she have prevented her tragic future? Yet another redemption fic for Morgana, who deserves it.
NOTE: This fic is Rated M. If sexual relations between consenting adults is upsetting to you, particularly when it involves women having agency over their own bodies and their sexual choices, neither this fic, nor "Le Morte d'Arthur," is for you. Slut-shaming women is not acceptable behavior; any more of that nonsense, and I'm turning off comments. Go shout at Sir Thomas Malory's grave, boys. He at least got paid for his writing.

Summary
"This merits something quite special!", the king intoned. Merlin had a bad feeling about this.
"You shall be rewarded a position in the royal household."
"But I already have a position in the royal household!"This is the story of how Merlin did not get 'rewarded' by becoming Arthur's dogsbody and became an actual physician instead. Will destiny still find a way to unite the two to usher in the Golden Age they always promised us?

Summary
The magic reveal is not glamorous. After Ismere, Merlin confesses practically on a whim—while in the midst of his evening chores—and Arthur is forced to question everything he thinks he knows. What follows is a journey that tests their friendship, Arthur’s kingship, and Merlin’s faith. Known like never before, Merlin discovers that he has more secrets than just his magic to confess, some of them difficult and guilty; meanwhile, Arthur is tasked with undoing the fear of magic Uther has left behind in the kingdom, and in Arthur’s own heart. Together, can they defy Arthur’s prophesized death, and guide Camelot towards its Golden Age?
An episodic Series 5 rewrite.

Summary
If serving Arthur was Merlin's destiny, then why was Morgana the one he felt inexorably drawn to?
Every time his thoughts followed this trail, he felt the press of the dragon’s prophecy, the beast's rasping words so potent it was as if they were etched into his skin like scales. Arthur was the one he was meant to serve. Arthur was the one who would make it safe for magic users to thrive once again in Camelot.
So why was it Morgana he couldn’t help but fixate on?
--
OR A Morgana-centric BBC Merlin rewrite in which Merlin doesn't blindly listen to Gaius and finds connection with Morgana amongst the dangers of Uther's court. Burdened by destiny but hounded by desire, Merlin navigates the treacherous path of fate. Morgana attempts to walk the righteous road but makes difficult, and often bad, choices in her quest for a just world.

Summary
Merlin had thought he didn’t know what he was getting into when he cleared the air and agreed to stop hating Mordred, but it turned out the knight, not the warlock, was the one who was completely unprepared for what it would mean to be considered Merlin’s friend.
