Summary
Bruce is not a good man.
He's horrible and jealous and sick on the inside- but, at least, he's trying, even when he has his hands full with his new son, his grumpy old man, and the fact that Superman keeps getting on his fucking nerves.
Bruce is not a good man, and he knows it, and he'll track down whoever Superman is and all of his weaknesses if it's the last thing he ever does.
(SIDE NOTE - You can absolutely read this alone, but it will make it a bit more enjoyable if you read the prologue first!!! It's the first part in this series)

"So, what do you say? Just you and me on this one. Like old times?"
There was a glimmer of hope in those inhumanly blue eyes of Kent's as he waited for Batman to answer. Bruce couldn't help but think how ridiculous it was to refer to something that happened once or twice in the past year or so as 'old times,' but Superman had been frustratingly overly-familiar the last few times they had spoken, and it seemed that wasn't something distance had changed.
Bruce decided to humor him.
Bruce is trying to find the balance between his responsibility for Dick and his partnership with Robin. Clark is trying to navigate catching feelings at the office again, so to speak. Dick just wants to be taken seriously, and maybe for Batman and Superman to stop being so stupid about each other.
Somehow, the crime ring trafficking alien creatures in their two cities might just be the answer they've all been looking for.
