Summary
Zootopia has been plunged into a regime of predatory supremacy; predators are on top and prey are no longer subjects of rights. Each captured prey has their memories erased and is assigned a new name and a role from which they cannot escape.
Nick Wilde has spent the last few years completely dead inside and on the verge of madness searching for his missing partner, Judy Hopps. But when he finds her, she doesn't remember him at all.
A wounded Judy Hopps has been living as a servant, unable to remember anything about herself until her former partner rescues her...she doesn't even know his name, she has forgotten their entire shared history and to top it all off, he's a fox.
Nick just wants his best friend back because it is all he dares to desire.

Summary
Biologically, as we all well know, foxes and rabbits are unable to have any offspring (though as Nick would say jokingly, to Judy's embarrassment: Believe me, we tried!).
Because of this, the two became foster parents to a way too adorable 11 month old bunny.
Aforementioned bunny says her first word.
...It was not supposed to be "Dada."

TDAP is a highly ambitious AU of the Zootopian world, interweaving many original elements while retaining the personality of Nick, Judy, and others of the cast.
But! a savage light—somewhat comparable to Beastars—shines on everything: the instinct-driven dynamic between Predators and Prey remains nearly as fierce as in olden times and governs daily interaction and societal conduct. No systemic racism; distancing out of mutual fear and choice.
A mix of literary fiction, dark-ish dystopia, eventual romance, and complex cultures à la Robert Jordan, TDAP focuses on Judy Hopps' and Nick Wilde's psychologies/ambitions as they navigate the dystopian city of Zootopia after the Nighthowler case and the much, much more meaningful pit incident—the by-now century-long experiment of the only city on Animalia where sentient Predator and Prey—and their inextricable cultures—coexist and paws-on research for inclusion is done.
