Alternate universe with a male Marinette, Akumas have vastly worse effects on people, and Gabriel Agreste's treatment of his son takes a much darker turn.
LadyNoir centric fic where 90% of the focus is on their developing relationship and how they tackle the mounting pressure of their lives and the duty they've been chosen for. Lots of helping each other through their respective trauma and trying to cope with all new kinds of trauma being superheroes is going to bring them. Fic is planned to follow the loose structure of the show's entire plot with some heavy rewrites to accommodate higher stakes and a far darker tone.

Summary
In a world where Harry Potter is born in 1924, he is abandoned by his aunt and uncle after Vernon’s office undergoes a major downsize. His uncle isn’t coming back for him, Harry knows that. He’s always understood that they’d eventually leave him. They made sure he did.
But here? At Wool’s Orphanage in London? Well, Harry doesn’t have the reputation that he did back in Little Whinging, and he’s not willing to let that opportunity go. And so he teaches himself to play the role of the so-called “Golden Boy,” at the orphanage, at Hogwarts, everywhere.
And, of course, his savior complex only makes it easier for his new roommate, Tom Riddle, to convince him that he’s just a victim of circumstance, after all. It’s not hard. Not when that’s exactly what he wants to see.
Tom’s tired of being alone, even if he knows the people at Wool’s are beneath him. Luckily, Harry's like him; he can also make things happen; make people do things they don't want to. Even if he uses it for “good.”
(And if Tom starts to moonlight as the radical political leader “Lord Voldemort," who can blame him?)

"Honestly, has anyone updated the thing in the past century? Why you don't use the ministry's list of magical children is beyond me."
"The ministry takes an awfully long time to identify muggleborns. Most would miss their first years. They do not have a system in place to do magical checks without going door to door like we do. You know this." McGonagall chimed in, but not without giving Severus' face an odd look.
Severus scoffed, "Your great ancient system has finally tanked it Albus. What happens now?"
