Summary
Catra tilts her head and strains her ears to listen for the soft footfalls behind them over the horse's own desperate gallop. Adora is leaned into the reins, breath coming fast. Catra decides.
"Adora." She says. The blonde turns her head slightly in acknowledgement. "Make sure you get to Glimmer."
"What? Catra-" Then the magicat hears it, a louder thud and a deep growl, to their right. Her hands leave her mate's waist before she leaps off the horse. Claws unsheathed she flies through the air before her body slams into another and they fall into the undergrowth. Catra ignores Adora's cries for her as she digs her claws through fur and into flesh.

She stayed in the place where she could relive the most horrible moment of her life every day.
She stayed right where Adora had left her.
A Canon-Divergent AU told by the perspective of several villagers and by Catra’s own perspective, inspired by Taylor Swift’s “Right Where You Left Me” starting the moment that Adora and Catra separated in Thaymor. Because all of Taylor’s songs can fit Catradora. All of them.
