Buck has had enough. He gets it, ok? Everyone has had a shitty time of it recently, and is going through some shit.
But that does NOT mean it is all his fault, and he is DONE being their punching bag - emotional and otherwise - and taking all the blame.
Eddie's leaving - and the sheer HYPOCRISY - is the last straw.
So when he's called up out of the Reserves despite coming to the end of his contract, Buck doesn't even try to fight it, leaving for Miramar without a backwards glance.
He gives some people a piece of his mind before he does though, leaving Hen and Bobby in particular (what with neither Chimney or Eddie bothering to speak with him right now) with a lot to think about.Series

Tommy floats and idea to boost her spirits to him when he picks him up at the airport, and Rooster can't help but like the sound of it - even though he knows it's mostly coming from their friends all being very annoyed their engagement is seemingly neverending. So sue them, weddings are stressful, and who has the time to plan one?!

She is less than impressed by their attitudes, nor the fact that they have taped over her name and replaced it with Bosko's. Bobby gets his chance, but will he even realise it is one?

Day 1 of prompts to myself
The morning of the tsunami, Eddie turfed Buck out of bed and ordered him out of the house, as he had been moping all week.
In this AU, Buck took off for the week and the 118 didn't realise, not having personally checked on her - taking Maddie's word for it after the embolism.
Buck needed support, not berating and criticism, so she went to her ohana for a while.
She is not impressed with Eddie or the 118's attitudes, and goes off on him, with a promise of more to come.

Chimney stared out the door of the apparatus bay where Buck had just exited, and Hen had quickly followed him. What the fuck? Buck was in the Navy? Had been all this time? He was working on his Master's degree?

Fuck.
Granted, Chimney knew that Buck wasn’t stupid. The fire academy was called an academy for a reason, after all, and Buck always had a knack for thinking outside the box for strange and unusual rescues. That was all like street smarts though and intuition. Ideas that were so dumb they were smart. They weren’t high level mathematics and multiple degrees in higher education!

A few weeks later at Top Gun, where Iceman is now an instructor, in the process of spinning out, Maverick comes to the conclusion that he just doesn't know how. He asks Iceman for help.
