Grass swayed at his feet, clothes crinkled from a restless sleep. Stood like a statue, a silent guardian, he reached out a hand to the sky. How foolish, he reaches out like they’ll find something. Like they can reach and twirl around the stars themselves.

Summary
Grace has felt more at home on Erid than he ever had on earth. It was a dream, really. A little piece of paradise for the rest of his life, just for him, with no one else around.
Except that he was horrified.
Grace was happy to live. Beyond happy, really. That did nothing to dry up the fear of death. He barely escaped it, and now he felt like he was one bad word away from paying that dept. Every creak in the dome made his heart race. Every time his chest ached or he couldn't get out of bed, he wondered how long of a life he would actually get.
He loved it here on Erid. But he didn't feel like he had escaped death. He felt like he was standing in it's jaws.
That is until someone pulled him out.
Simon could relate.

And as quick and silent as the words came, so they went. Heard only by the ears of someone who should've been long dead.
