Summary
“Bridger.” Thrawn said lowly, “Ezra Yahya Samama Bridger, what do you think you’re going to do? Do you think you will simply trade the Lieutenant for your freedom? Do you think this will end in anything besides your painful capture?” But Thrawn was unbalanced now, even Ezra could see it. Kallus had been right, Vanto really was his weakness.
With growing confidence, Ezra did what he did best, found a weakness and dug his claws in.

Fandom A Song of Ice and Fire & Related Fandoms, A Song of Ice and Fire - George R. R. Martin, Game of Thrones (TV), House of the Dragon (TV)

Summary
This series chronicles the slow burn and violent eruption of the First Blackfyre Rebellion, a civil war that split House Targaryen and the realm in two.
Part I follows Aegon IV Targaryen, “the Unworthy,” from his reckless youth to his infamous reign, as seen through the eyes of his family and his many lovers—Bellegere Otherys, Melissa Blackwood, Serenei of Lys, and others. His lusts, betrayals, and fatal choices sow the seeds of war, leaving behind a legacy destined to ignite.
Part II, The Red and Black Dragon, begins in 184 AC and explores the rebellion itself through both sides of the conflict—those loyal to the crown and those who would see Daemon Blackfyre rule. Loyalties are tested, families are torn apart, in a war that will shape the future of Westeros.

"Mags knew with every fiber of her being that she would be dead within the next 52 hours. The rebels plan was good. It would work, Finnick would get Annie, Katniss, Peeta and the others to District 13 and from there this regime would crumble slowly but surely. But just as Mags’s bones told her it would work, the aches told her she could not live to see it. Her time was running out. She absentmindedly fiddled with her mother’s wedding ring worn on her right hand. It was a shame, but she had been far luckier than most."
On the eve of the 75th Hunger Games Mags reflects on the rebellion, her victors, her country, the family she was born into and the family she built from scratch.

Summary
Is there a reality where humans and dragons can coexist peacefully, given the messy heart of humanity? Yes. But for that dream to survive, you cannot stay isolated. Empathy is not enough without a bridge to the rest of the world. You need the missing puzzle piece. You need a Marius.
Despite being an island famed for its dragon killers, isn't it strange how no empire, no country has launched a crusade to kill dragons themselves? To take over the job and be done with it?
For centuries, Berk has enjoyed guaranteed sovereignty. The cost to being free from these crusaders? Kill the dragons and keep them away from flying south to the Mainland. Be the shield that keeps dragons from flying south, so that the great Empires look away.
Berk's closest ally in this delicate peace has always been the Marius family. Their official business is trade. Their real job? Presenting Berk's 'proof of work' to the southern Empires, maintaining the balance of power through information and coin.
But the entire world is thrown off its axis when Hiccup befriends a Night Fury.

Summary
“The True History of the Gem War”, also known as “The Book of Rose Quartz” and “The Time Before the Flood” is one of the most intriguing and controversial works of ancient Near Eastern mythology and history known to modern scholars. For nearly two centuries, it had been the focus of obsession and study, and yet we are no closer to deciphering its secrets than we were when it was first unveiled.
Traditionally, “The True History” is said to have been discovered by famed Anglish explorer and cataloguer Buddy Buckwick in 1762, while he was exploring ancient ruins in North Africa. Though only six thousand words, arranged into seven tablets, “The True History” appeared to be a syncretic approach to ancient Mesopotamian myth and legend, weaving together elements of “The Epic of Gilgamesh” and the heretical Biblical “Book of Enoch” into a narrative of a ‘War in Heaven’ or ‘Angelic Rebellion’. The text also included clear references to the Egyptian pantheon, and to other ancient Hebrew texts and Mesopotamian legends, and was written in a creole of Aramaic and Hebrew.

68 ABY"Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this battle station." - Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin
"The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers." - Senator Leia Organa
A more rigorous examination of the events of 0 BBY will show that, while the year is just as pivotal to Galactic history as it usually assumed, the emphasis has often been misplaced. In truth, while the Death Star project did prove to be central to the Galactic Empire’s undoing, the fatal blow came not from DS-01’s destruction at the hands of Luke Skywalker, but from the political implications of the project writ large. It would be going too far to say that the Battle of Yavin was irrelevant, but it would be accurate to say that by the time the Battle Station arrived in the Yavin System, the balance in the Galactic Civil War had already irrevocably shifted, though in ways that would not become apparent for months and years to come.

The guards at the gate did not ask my name, only my business. A man had been killed, I said. They waited. By a knight, I added, and that narrowed the field, though not by much. When I said Sir Lancelot, one of them smiled. Just that—a brief flicker, there and gone.
