Just what it says on the tin -- Yiddish and Hebrew translations for those of you schlemazels* stuck on mobile, and historical notes for anyone interested in the questionable phrases I entered in Google (sorry, NSA), the history-buff Internet rabbit-holes in which I happily floundered, and the small details I'm still kicking myself over (three words: South Jersey Star!).
*rough translation: Yiddish for someone with the worst luck, who always gets the short end of the stick; a hopeless, pitiable fool. I say this affectionately; using mobile can be kinda rough.

Wei WuXian sniffs it and his eyes immediately start watering. "Oh, you're my new favorite person," he tells Lan SiZhui. "Sorry Lan Zhan."
"I thought the rabbits were your best friends," Lan WangJi says mildly.
"They're all tied," Wei WuXian decides. "Anyway, they're my best friends. You were my favorite person. There's a difference. No matter now, you've been eclipsed. Hey, SiZhui, I'm your dad now."
Lan SiZhui laughs with pleased embarrassment. "Ahah, I figured it was going to happen someday," he says. Wei WuXian isn't sure what he means by that.

Realization seeps into Wei Wuxian's bones.
He looks up at Lan Wangji, and Lan Wangji is staring right back at him, and Wei Wuxian’s lips are still tingling, and Lan Wangji is still poking at his own.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Lan Wangji groans.
At the same time, Wei Wuxian murmurs, “Ah.”
(In which Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji investigate a curse and get cursed instead. Everything they try to say comes out of the other person's mouth. It can only go downhill from there.)
