Summary
Placing his finger at her entrance he pushes it back in, not ignoring the shivers that comes from the woman laying in his bed. Covering her with their blanket, he’s off. Pressing a kiss to her forehead and heading to the stadium where he and his teammates would meet.
Would the seed hold? Would he wake up to her telling him about a pregnancy? Would she be happy with it? Would she tell everyone or let them find out? How would she look with stretch marks, with markings that proved that she was his. That her body was full of someone partially him. How would the press respond? Would they be as eager to announce their child’s birth as everyone else had? These thoughts trailed through his mind through practice matches. Nearly falling off his broom when one of his teammate’s pregnant wife showed up wearing said teammates jersey. The front logo barely covers her belly, he let his mind wander to thoughts of his own wife in his jersey. Her belly, round and full of a life brought into the world by both of them.

“Then stop coming here,” she said, crossing her arms.
“Believe me, Granger,” he said quietly, “I’ve tried.”

Hermione Granger is a competent, decorated, entirely-put-together healer who absolutely does not have feelings for Draco Malfoy. She has simply noticed, in a purely clinical capacity, that he keeps turning up at her hospital. Repeatedly. With increasingly creative injuries.
Draco Malfoy is a competent, decorated, entirely-put-together Auror who absolutely does not have feelings for Hermione Granger. He has simply run out of reasons to accidentally be in her vicinity and has recently resorted to letters.
Neither of them is handling this well.
Featuring: one medically questionable sandwich, a poisoning with truly baffling toxicology results, four unsent letters, two insufferable Slytherins who consider themselves uninvolved, one ill-timed trip to America, and a years-long slow burn so thoroughly in denial it practically qualifies as a clinical case study.
Hermione leaves before it becomes a problem.
It was already a problem. -

Summary
“I’m in love with her.”
Nothing else. Just that. The words fall out of his mouth and hover there like the world’s least convenient Bludger. It’s the first time he’s said it out loud. It feels… odd. Heavy. Possibly terminal. He braces for questions, or judgement, or maybe an intervention.
What he gets instead is the not-at-all subtle sound of coins changing hands. Theo passes a handful of Galleons to Blaise.
“I told you,” Blaise murmurs, smug as sin.

Draco Malfoy is no hero; just the Ministry’s unpaid consultant with a talent for sarcasm and survival. He plans to endure cursed artefacts and bad coffee in silence… until he starts noticing Hermione Granger. Flat shoes, sharper wit, and the kind of competence that makes even Malfoys pay attention.
He doesn’t speak to her. He just observes. Catalogues. Falls quietly, disastrously in love.

Summary
“I wanted dinner. With someone who wouldn’t— who doesn’t—”
“Talk?” he offered.
She huffed a laugh. “Think. Much. Loudly. In my vicinity.”
A pause, wry and weightless. “I can be remarkably stupid on request.”

Hermione Granger’s latest experiment in the Department of Mysteries goes, technically speaking, catastrophically tits-up. The result? She can suddenly hear everyone’s thoughts. It’s a nightmare.
Except Draco Malfoy’s.
Around him, the world goes silent — blissfully, impossibly silent.
So she clings to him for relief; he pretends he’s not quietly losing his mind over her; the Brains in jars judge them both; and feelings start happening without anyone’s permission.
Magical neuroscience, catastrophic intimacy, and one very besotted Auror who never stood a chance.- Language:
