A man leans against the counter beside him, eyes half-lidded and mouth wet. Akechi watches him out of the corner of his eye as he pretends to look into the crowd, and counts down the seconds until-
"-Hey, kid." His voice is thick with intoxication, lingering overlong on the words as they leave his mouth. "What're you doing in a bar like this, huh? Pretty thing like you, might get into trouble." Akechi feels his eyes on him and shivers. Here, in the dim light of the bar, he is no longer 'Goro Akechi, Detective Prince'. He is 'pretty thing'.
