Summary
Ghost has been working at an animal shelter that rescued problem dogs for a while now. For the most part, it's a pretty great way to spend his retirement, especially with Riley by his side. Of course, there's always things that make life suck arse.
Like the guy with all the scars casing the shelter from across the street. Ghost hasn't taken a life in a long time, but if the bastard was the kind of piece of shit he suspected he was, he'd do what he had to. And if he was wrong... Well, he'd deal with that if it came to it.

God BLESS. This series regularly rotates in my head even months after I had last read something from it, literally haunts my dreams in the best way possible. Can't believe it's taken me so long to bookmark this because I've been obsessed for a year at minimum. Author, you may be anonymous, but know that you are literally the biggest brain person imaginable oh my god

Summary
John Price has worn many hats. Medical student, army doctor, captain, now retired veteran. He feels that’s probably enough, but now, with all this time on his hands, the universe has alerted him to another hat he wears: bisexual.
Navigating life after almost 20 years of military service is hard enough. Now John finds himself falling into the deep-end of his new identity.
—
In Nik’s defense, he didn’t tell John to go to one of the most popular gay clubs in town on a Saturday night. All he’d said was, “You need to get out more, my friend. You are either at work or at home. It’s bad for the spirit.” It’s John that had decided to seize the opportunity of a rare Saturday and Sunday off to explore this…side of himself. It made sense to visit the gayest part of a city he’s lived in most of his life, but now he wishes he did more than a quick Google search.

Summary
He felt, well, cold. Yes, in the temperature sense, but also in a different way. His hands were the least of his worries when it felt like the chill was coming from inside him. This hollow, cavernous feeling that sat like an overfilled balloon in his chest. But his chest wasn’t quite the right place, it was somewhere far more unreachable between his diaphragm and his ribs, lost in the space between his heart and his spine. It was as if the smallest shard of ice had made its home in this vulnerable and unknowable place. But, there was no time to linger on such a small little space - and he was certain The Narrator would only tolerate his lack of story progression for so long, so Stanley continued out of his office.
or
Stanley is really lonely and The Narrator wants to fix that.
